    The BSPA Lab has an active webinar schedule, covering topics from fingerprint interoperability, performance, testing and evaluation, human biometric sensor interaction, as well as educational outreach programs. Each seminar will be hosted via Adobe Presenter, and will also have a telephone number. Some webinars will be broadcast via Skype. Below is a list of the current webinars we are planning on hosting in December and January. Please register for more information. This self-paced, noncredit educational program provides a private virtual classroom that can be used during a time-frame that’s convenient for participants. The biometrics online education program is designed for security professionals, managers, and individuals who want to learn about biometric technologies and its applications. Similar to the certificate of completion, completion of this course will provide you with continuing education unit credits.

  • INCITS M1 Standards Meeting at Purdue University

    Biometric Standards, Performance, and Assurance Laboratory will be hosting the December 2009 meeting of M1. This committee serves as the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (U.S. TAG) for the international organization ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 37 on Biometrics, which was established in June 2002. As the U.S. TAG to SC 37, M1 is responsible for establishing U.S. positions and contributions to SC 37, as well as representing the U.S. at SC 37 meetings. INCITS is the primary U.S. focus of standardization in the field of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). INCITS also serves as ANSI’s Technical Advisory Group for ISO/IEC Joint Technical Committee 1. JTC 1 is responsible for International standardization in the field of Information Technology.
