Follow the progress of the Fall 2010 IT54500 Biometrics Class – Week 8

This week we continued our discussion on biometric performance, and started to work on the semester projects. This semester, there are five semester projects. They are:

1) Examining the definition of comfort and how it relates to fingerprint performance
2) Examining the performance of segmentation software (2 projects)
3) Examining moisture, elasticity, oiliness, and temperature of the finger and its impact on performance
4) Compression and performance

Each of the groups have worked on preliminary quad charts. This week, we will work on data analysis. At some point, the methodologies and literature reviews will be posted.
