This study focuses on the methods of acquisition for mobile iris device and test these different methods for its effect on performance, acquisition time, and ease of use from the user perspective. The methods of interest are self-acquisition method, operator acquisition method, and handsfree acquisition method. The self-acquisition method will be focused on the user to adjust their interaction with the device themselves while looking at the feedback given by the monitor. The operator acquisition method will focus on the interaction between the user, the operator, and the feedback. The operator will be the one that control the acquisition process based on the feedback from the monitor. The handsfree acquisition method will allow the user to have the ability to adjust the device attached to an ergonomic multi-dimensional desk mounted arm to avoid any distraction on holding the device while focusing on the feedback on the screen.
